TIGER LOUNGE TEXTILES

Tiger Lounge Textiles was launched in 2020 by textile artist Taylor Belanglaze. 

Each item is unique and mindfully crafted in her Los Angeles studio.

Natural dyes are dyes or colorants derived from plants, invertebrates, or minerals. Most natural dyes are vegetable dyes from plants—roots, berries, bark, leaves, and wood—and other biological sources such as fungi.

Suminagashi is the ancient Japanese technique of decorating paper with inks. Suminagashi (sue-me-NAH-gah-she), literally means “ink-floating” and involves doing just that.

Katazome is a Japanese method of dyeing fabrics using a rice-based resist paste applied through a stencil.
